VIPS IIC is approved by AICTE, MoE’s Innovation cell, GOI. The department conducts various talks as per IIC academic calendar to guide and motivate students for active participation in various innovation/startup initiatives of MoE’s Innovation cell.
Dr. Amit Dutta sir was the chief guest for orientation day. He shared a briefing about national innovation startup policy over development to every higher education institute along with technical institutes encouraging students to adopt with the ministry of education basis, to cater for the needs of young student entrepreneurs with innovative ideas of social relevance and thereby introducing a culture of entrepreneurship inside the campus which will strengthen our education system and thereby promoting the national economic and social help for student and groups to prototype their ideas, innovation, and entrepreneurship with Institutional Development multiple programs with AICTE and multiple design thinking among student community to improve quality of research work among students and to attain patent further commercially used in production sectors. Aim: The primary aim for this event is to improve student’s morale over new creativity and innovations to write every aspect, make beliefs for internships that industry wants with the enhancement of knowledge, Industrial acceptance through adopting first with Patenting and how to patent such ideas and choose multiple schemes shared with Proof of Concepts and many more with global recognition and generate business opportunities in MSME, Sir shared awareness amongst us regarding IPR related activities and the schemes for students as YUKTI, KAPILA and some basics of (SPICES), ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL (EDC), ATAL RANKING OF INSTITUTIONS ON INNOVATION ACHIEVEMENTS (ARIIA), for major Faculties, related NATIONAL INITIATIVE FOR TECHNICAL TEACHERS TRAINING (AICTE – NITTT) and many more overviews over tremendous schemes in NISP to address start-up-related supports for technical background students. On 11th January 2021, a workshop of Toycathon was conducted by Mr. Arvind Gupta. The workshop includes leadership talks, start-ups, IPR, and other things as well. The main objective of the event is to give information about the production of toys using trash, to give students practical knowledge and help them to learn the concepts easily. These toys are cheap and eco-friendly also. The knowledge gathered from this event is that, for children, practical knowledge is as important as theoretical knowledge. These toys make children creative and curious about the world and technologies as well. From these toys, students can even get the knowledge that is not there in their course books. On 12th January 2021, the second session of Toycathon took is held by Dr Abhay Jere. The objective of this session is to provide information to students about the opportunity to use our culture civilization with the latest technology so that we can offer affordable toys to our Indian toys industry. The knowledge obtained from this event is about how students can develop ideas for our Indian toys and gaming industry by using augmented reality and virtual reality. Students with innovative ideas are also provided with a great opportunity to register on Toycathon.mic.gov.in. On 13th January 2021, the third session of Toycathon has organized whose speaker is Prof. Shrikant Bahulkar. The major objective is getting innovative ideas for toys and games from Vedas. The knowledge that is gained by students includes the meaning of Vedas and different arts, arts are 64 in total. In ancient times Vedas are in manuscript form and not in book form. There are many deities like Indra, Agni, Surya, Varuna, etc. Knowledge about Vedas and the different mantras and paths of Vedas are also taught to the students.
On 14th January 2021, the fourth session of the Toycathon is held by Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe. The objective of the event is to tell about the idea behind the toycathon. To motivate people to participate in this event and to make exciting toys to produce market for India abroad and to promote the indigenous toy industry in the world. The knowledge obtained from this event was about Toycathon. Toycathon is a special hackathon where students, teachers, design experts, and start-ups give ideas to convert our traditional and indigenous knowledge into toys. On 18th January 2021, the last session of Toycathon has organized whose speaker is Prof. Sudarshan Khanna and Prof. Surabhi Khanna. The objective of this event is to motivate students to participate in the toycathon 2021 and spread awareness about it. Also, it provides some interesting ideas about wining a toycathon. From this session, the knowledge we obtained is about different ideas and opportunities to propose toys and games that will greatly help India develop into a global hub for toys and games and also assist children to understand the values of future culture. The overall objective of the Toycathon is to provide our students with the utmost knowledge of toys and applications which are involved in the making of toys. Also, the major benefit of this session is that our students are now having good know-how in designing the process of toys.
Mr. Ankit believes and shared discussion on the career options that go after studies. He shared a brief about his journey from scratch to a successful Startup Company by the name Deepspace9 in New Delhi. He shared his views about how he started his business from scratch to his journey further. Aim: The primary objective of this event is to believe in the skill and motivate yourself by adopting professional ethics for you and your career. We can take this opportunity and try to innovate our audience on such professional platforms for think sharing. He briefly answered questions asked by students. Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), New Delhi in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organized a session “Process of Innovation Development ” on 29th January 2021. The event started at 3:00 PM when the guest speaker, faculty members of VSIT, and participants connected virtually to share creativity and interests. The speaker inaugurated the event with their words of motivation. They welcomed all the dignitaries and participants and conducted a session where they shared their innovation stories with the students and explained to them how the presentation of an innovation process usually begins with the generation of ideas and ends with the market launch. The speaker also advised participants on how to understand, simulate and analyze innovation. The session concluded by encouraging the students and advising them to keep on working on their ideas.
VSIT in association with Institution’s innovation council organized IKS Orientation Session on 11th March 2020. The session was aimed to guide us on the role of the Indian Knowledge system in the agriculture and health sector. In this session, it was discussed that Ancient Indian science and technology should not be forgotten. The session was aimed to make us understand the importance of old Indian traditions. The Knowledge obtained from the event was about how can we use the old discoveries. The students also learned much about old Indian traditions and agricultural practices and their importance.
On 15th October 2020 a KAPILA Literacy event was done by Speaker Abhay Jere, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Shri Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre. The Hon’ble Minister of Education, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ with Shri Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre, Minister of State, Ministry of Education (MoE), launched the ‘KAPILA’ Kalam Program for Intellectual Property Literacy and Awareness. Under this program and as a first step, “IP Literacy Week” was organized during 15 – 23 October 2020 to celebrate the birth anniversary of the visionary and well-acclaimed proponent of Innovative India, Former President, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. In this program, we learned how to build revolutionary ideas, patent processes. It was a great initiative by IIC.
On 16th October 2020, an event under the KAPILA Literacy event was done by Speaker Abhay Jere. The objective of the event was to create awareness and importance about the process of applying for a patent. We learned how to build revolutionary ideas, seeding ideas to harvesting innovation for social good. Abhay sir discussed many aspects to think about a revolutionary idea that could help society. On 17th October 2020 under the KAPILA Literacy program, an event was organized by speaker Varun Chamadiya. The objective of the event was to was lateralthinking-how to generate the revolutionary ideas that could help our society and which will make our country stronger. We learned how to generate revolutionary ideas. On 19th October 2020 an event was organized under KAPILA Literacy event by speaker MR. Varun Chamadiya. The objective of the event was to recognize, facilitate the intellectual property , innovations and best practices in HEIs. The session also helped us to enhance our ideation capabilities. On 20th October 2020 under KAPILA Literacy programme an event was organized by speaker Shri Prabuddha Ganguly and Shri. Sameer Kumar Swaroop. The objective of this event is to promote entrepreneurship. To organise activities that facilitate knowledge creation, innovation and entrepreneurship among our students. The knowledge obtained from this event is about activities that gives knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship among youth. On 21th October 2020 under KAPILA Literacy programme an event was organized by speaker Dr. Unnat pandit and Shri Daroj kumar. The main objective of the event wss to create appropriate awareness regarding the need of IP filing and methodology involving IP filing in India . The knowledge obtained from this event was about the difference between innovation and invention and needs of patenting invention and ideas of patent drafting. On 22ndOctober 2020 under KAPILA Literacy programme an event was organized by speaker Dr. Sheetal Chopra .The objective of this event is to provide key insight to students and faculties about prior art search and Patent Drafting .The knowledge obtained from this event about prior art and various types of searches and about patent drafting. On 23rd October 2020 under KAPILA Literacy programme an event was organized by speaker Dr. Sheetal chopra The objective of this event is to provide information to student about correct system of application process for patenting of their invention . The knowledge obtained from this event was how students pursuing education in higher educational institutions can patenting their invention and how can they be aware for their rights in this fields.
On 20th November 2020 “AVISHKAAR” Project Competition 2020 was organized by VSIT (Vivekananda School of Information Technology) VIPS on an online platform ZOOM.AVISHKAAR under the guidance of Dr. Neetu Goel and Dr. Pooja Thakar. The project competition was organized to promote the new creative and innovative ideas .” Be an innovator, not an imitator“. The basic ideology behind this was to promote unique ideas and give guidance for the startup & patent process.The competition started at 11:30 am on 20th November 2020 on an online platform zoom,
the judges present for the competition were Prof. Dr. Mamta Madan, Professor, VIPS, Dr. Pawan Whig Associate Professor, VIPS, Prof. Dr. Deepali Kamthania Professor, VIPS. A warm welcome of the judges, faculty members, participants and students was done. After that entries were called, they presented their projects. The first entry presented the project that was “NOTESPICKUP “.In this, the participant explained that they provide quality notes of 28 plus courses at free of cost, around 400 plus colleges notes and Cat study material. Also, they explained the whole working of the app and judges asked more about the functioning and suggested some new ideas to make it a more effective and useful app. The second entry presented the project on the Clinic Management Solution app. “Clinic Management Solution(CMS) consists of a set of two software applications to better manage and run your clinic. Demo applications can be downloaded via play store.” The judges gave their suggestions and praised the participant. The third entry presented their project on COVID-19 Detection using Chest X-ray implemented by Transfer learning. The judges gave their suggestions and judgment was given based on the projects.

Objective :The webinar talks about many small industries and startups that are unable to grow due to lack of funds and infrastructure. Government should take initiative to create a mechanism for these sectors so that they are able to avail funds.
Objective :Major learnings from the webinar were to develop ideas using technology from the perspective of development and transformation to enhance the manufactures of indigenous goods and to maintain the supply chain in an optimum manner.

Program Type:Introduction to the policy/ highlights on the major changes/ startups and entrepreneurship ideas The objective of the event: The objective of this event was to inform students about the new education policies and spread awareness about them. Benefit in terms of learning/skill/knowledge obtained: From this session, the knowledge we obtained is about the major changes made by the govt under the new education policy. It also motivated the students to new startup ideas. Overall the new policy is very much in favour of the students and will bring a big in the education system
On 30th January 2021 the “THE PROOF OF CONCEPT” The Idea Pitching Competition was organized in VSIT (Vivekananda Studies of Information Technology) Technical Campus of VIPS on an online platform MICROSOFT TEAMS. ”THE PROOF OF CONCEPT”, the Idea pitching competition was organized to promote the new creative and innovative ideas. ”Innovation is the key to the future“. The basic ideology behind this was to promote the unique ideas and give guidance for the startup & patent process and according to the projects of the participants, the judgment was given.
The competition aims to reward and promote those hidden and technical credible ideas that can be harbingers so new technological breakthroughs in the future. We welcome and encourage students to showcase their unique ideas in the form of projects. A platform to get recognition and guidance to proceed further for start-ups and patent products. The competition started at 3 p.m. on 30th January 2021 on an online platform Microsoft Team, the judges present for the competition were Prof. Dr. Mamta Madan, Dr. Pawan Whig.

The first team presented their project and explained the working of the project. Further, the judges asked more about the functioning and suggested new ideas to make it more effective and useful. The other teams presented their projects. The esteemed judges gave their valuable suggestions and praised them for their dedicated participation. The judges gave their judgement was given based on the project. It was an informative session and competition.
The objective of the event: The objective of the event was to write an Article/Case Study regarding Innovation and Intellectual Property, Entrepreneurial Culture. The Article/Case Study was to be scored based on the originality of analysis, depth of research, style of writing, and communication of arguments. Benefit in terms of learning/skill/knowledge obtained: The skills here learnt were article writing, entrepreneurial skills, research-oriented skills, better-communicating skills, analysing skills. Knowledge of entrepreneurial culture was obtained.
